Installation de recherche à la pointe de la technologie
La construction de notre installation de recherche à la pointe de la technologie a commencé en 2015 et s’est achevée en janvier 2016. Avec 4 salles de 80 veaux notre installation abrite 320 veaux et élève plus de 1300 veaux par an. Les projets de notre installation sont conçus pour développer et valider des produits nutritionnels, nutraceutiques et pharmaceutiques utilisés pour élever des veaux en bonne santé. Nous nous concentrons sur la gestion responsable des antimicrobiens en développant des produits et des ressources ainsi que des pratiques de gestion qui peuvent contribuer à une réduction responsable de l’utilisation des antimicrobiens. Depuis 2016, nous avons mené de nombreux projets en interne ainsi qu’en collaboration avec des partenaires académiques et industriels.

Cel-Max™
Les veaux nourris avec 1 g de Cel-Max dans le lait de remplacement pendant les 56 premiers jours ont amélioré la conversion alimentaire et le gain quotidien moyen, ce qui a entraîné une réduction significative des coûts d’élevage.

Deccox-M®
Les veaux ayant reçu Deccox-M dans le lait de remplacement ont eu une croissance améliorée pendant la période de pré-sevrage.

Protéine fonctionnelle (mollet avancé)
Les veaux nourris avec 5 % de protéines fonctionnelles pendant la période de pré-sevrage ont eu moins de diarrhée et ont maintenu le même gain quotidien moyen qu’avec une formule tout lait.

Milk Feeding
Les veaux qui ont culminé à 1000 g ou 8 L de lait de remplacement ont eu un gain quotidien moyen supérieur et n’ont vu aucune réduction de l’apport en céréales par rapport aux veaux nourris avec 750 g ou 6 L de lait.

Protein Level (Milk Replacer Comparison)
Les veaux ayant reçu un lait de remplacement à 26 % de protéines comparativement à 22 % de protéines ont eu un gain quotidien moyen supérieur pendant la période pré et post-sevrage.

Wheat or Milk Protein
Les veaux nourris avec une formule contenant des protéines de blé hydrolysées présentaient une réduction de la croissance ainsi qu’une diminution de la conversion alimentaire dans la période post-sevrage.

Whole Milk Formula
Les veaux ayant reçu un lait de remplacement avec des composants similaires au lait entier avaient un gain quotidien moyen significativement plus faible dans la période pré et post-sevrage et consommaient moins de céréales.
